Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based scientific practice of applying concepts and interventions to improve socially significant behaviors. Our behaviors are largely impacted by what happens in our environment. By understanding what motivates actions, an ABA professional can determine an effective plan for meaningful positive behavior change.
A Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is conducted to determine why certain problematic behaviors occur. Then a doable, easy to follow plan is developed and those implementing the plan, trained to effectively implement the recommendations.

A child's "occupation" is to play and learn. When neurological differences inhibit a child's ability to feel comfortable and stay organized in his/her environment, this can inhibit opportunities to build pertinent relational and developmental gains. We strive to understand individual differences and how we can support children in feeling safe, so they can make meaningful connections with the world.
Family Systems (Family Therapy)
"Family" is a more complex definition than some may think. A family is group of people that make up a system and this can include: biology, choice, or circumstance. Executive Functions & Emotional Regulation
Our frontal lobes help us learn to filter and analyze the incoming messages from our environment by utilizing: Executive Functions. Each person develops these skills with variability. Our EF-skilled therapists work with children to identify areas of strength and weakness through direct observation and completion of standardized testing. A plan of action is then developed to assist children in identifying his/her strengths, as well as supports they can adopt to increase his/her confidence. http://developingchild.harvard.edu/science/key-concepts/executive-function/
